Abstract

This article reviews the concept of teacher training and its various components, it is conceptualized from the cultural historical approach, in which the cognitive and the affective are considered as a unit. Emphasis is placed on the importance of teacher training for them to assume the challenges that are emerging from social processes, from culture and its dynamics, involving social transformation. A formation which takes into account not only external aspects but also people as a comprehensive subject, in the exchange with their contemporaries and in a searching process, which does not end in the classroom but transcends immediate barriers to approach human condition as a potential, in the determinant role of culture transmission and society transformer: Be a teacher in this historicity.
