Abstract

ALBORNOZ ZAMORA, Elsa Josefina  and  DEL CARMEN GUZMAN, Marigina. COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH STIMULATION IN 3 YEAR-OLD CHILDREN: CENTER FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT "NUEVOS HORIZONTES". QUITO, ECUADOR. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.4, pp.186-192. ISSN 2218-3620.

The research was aimed at confirming the information teachers from the Nuevos Horizontes Center for Child Development posses about the importance of early stimulation on cognitive development of children aged 3.  It is framed in a field design, descriptive level, and quantitative approach. It was found that teachers know about the importance of early stimulation for children cognitive development, but they are limited in the ways of planning, organizing and developing of activities leading to strengthen these elements in children. This confirmed the pertinence and validity of the study.

Keywords : Cognitive development; early stimulation; child age; teachers.
