This paper analyzes the topic of environment and ecosystems preservation. The analysis is made from the perspective offered by civil responsibility in general and in particular. This theoretical approach allows penetrating to the essences that the private law provides in the issue environmental prevention. The law established by the Constitution of Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador is studied.
