Abstract

The current Ecuadorian university assumes the mission of transforming society based on Good Living and preparation for its understanding on the basis of interculturality, plurinationality and inclusion, in a particular way gender equity acquires meaning for the attainment of attitudes of sensitization, Respect and understanding of women's social rights. The article titled: Gender Equity Strategy in the University Environment contributes to this purpose as it expresses in its theoretical foundations the definition of equity, gender equity, and its practical contribution is concretized in the strategy of gender equity sustained in Principles for its management on the basis of the equal rights of men and women. The results achieved demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposal.
