El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la necesidad del proyecto Albergue Emmanuel en el hospital Teófilo Dávila, con la finalidad de brindar mejoras en el servicio de atención a los enfermos y sus familiares y a la comunidad orense en general, y así facilitarles el hospedaje y brindarles servicio con sentido de calidad y con el trabajo conjunto entre los voluntarios y la empresa privada. Para alcanzar el objetivo de esta investigación se aplicaron métodos teóricos de investigación documental tales como el análisis documental y la interpretación de la bibliografía consultada relacionada con el tema. La creación del Albergue Emmanuel constituye una solución, ya que se convertiría en un centro de paso de ayuda social, donde las personas de escasos recursos económicos que tienen familiares enfermos internados en este centro hospitalario pueden pasar la noche, descansar o asearse. Este proyecto posee un gran impacto social por los beneficios que genera al contribuir con la disminución del hacinamiento de familiares en las salas de espera del hospital y al brindar alojamiento y atención integral en los aspectos emocional, psicológico y espiritual a los familiares de los pacientes de escasos recursos atendidos en el mismo, provenientes de los diferentes cantones de la Provincia El Oro.

The objective of this research is to analyze the need for the Emmanuel Shelter project in the Teófilo Dávila Hospital, in order to provide improvements in the service of care for the sick and their families and to the community orense in general, thus facilitating the accommodation and providing them service with a sense of quality and with the joint work between the volunteers and the private company. To achieve the objective of this research, theoretical documentary research methods such as documentary analysis and the interpretation of the bibliography consulted related to the subject were applied. The creation of the Hostel Emmanuel is a solution, it would become a center of social assistance, where people with limited economic resources who have sick relatives hospitalized in this hospital can spend the night, rest or clean. This project has a great social impact for the benefits that it generates by contributing to the decrease of the overcrowding of relatives in the waiting rooms of the hospital and by providing accommodation and comprehensive emotional, psychological and spiritual care to the relatives of the patients. scarce resources served in it, coming from the different cantons of the Province of El Oro
