An analysis was made of publications that investigated air pollution in two of the most important cities in Ecuador, such as Quito and Cuenca. In principle this is one of the least worked topics in the country. In the case of Quito, the collaboration of the CORPAIRE institution has been highlighted, which is responsible for reducing air pollution and proposes techniques for the prevention and control of pollution. On the other hand, in Cuenca the effects caused by pollution on the health of citizens were studied, both studies are aimed at promoting an effective national program on the effects, causes and consequences of environmental pollution at the national level.
