Abstract

RODRIGUEZ MUNOZ, Raúl; SOCORRO CASTRO, Alejandro Rafael  and  LEON GONZALEZ, Jorge Luis. Strategies for the indexation of Academic Journals in Applied Sciences. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.5, pp.81-88.  Epub Dec 02, 2019. ISSN 2218-3620.

The study conducted by a group of researchers from the Metropolitan University of Ecuador on the indexation of an online journal that identifies possible arguments to support and improve the efficiency of these processes. The criteria from the infometry and bibliometry as well as some altmetrics indicators are assumed as the basis, the fundamental methods being modeling, systems approach and functional analysis. In this sense, the objective of the article is to present a proposal of indexation strategy in multidisciplinary journals. A design is used in Microsoft Visio that materializes the modeling of the indexation strategy of the multidisciplinary journal in four stages, which constitutes the main result of the study. The Metropolitan Journal of Applied Sciences developed the first and second stage obtaining the Indexation in DOAJ, MIAR, Google Scholar and other bases of interest.
