Abstract

The present work allows us to understand how surveillance evolves in organizations, considering the social and cultural influence of the disciplinary approach of the early twentieth century and the incorporation of a control approach at the end of the same century, being adopted by organizations to prioritize the fulfilment of norms and laws. At the same time, guaranteeing profits in a consumption model that demands an aggressive economic development, this highlighting the participation of the human component in the surveillance process.
