Abstract

In the article a case study is carried out, with the objective of developing an educational Model that applies the ethnomathematical approach in agricultural practices in the community of the Francisco Antonio Zea educational institution of the municipality of Pradera, Valle del Cauca, in Colombia, to a more comprehensive learning of mathematics. Empirical techniques were applied for the organization of actions; The conclusion is that: the ethnomathematical approach in the framework of sustainability and a culture of peace, contributes to the formation of students from various communities who have in common, agricultural practices as main livelihoods; also, that the fragmentation of Mathematics without putting them into practice, causes demonstrated deficiencies in the tests performed in this area.
