Abstract

This study is related to Cuban dujo, trying on few words and show up, the symbolic and aesthetic value of this furniture dedicated to religious practices, made by hose aboriginal people who dedicated to pottery and agriculture in the Arauca culture, who lived in Cuba, at least since 1000 years before our era. Besides, another goal will be too, included as a furniture object because of its main meaning, which permitted to know about a historical period in our country, with different periods of not information, which could be better understood, from the study of the material culture. The meaning of this object as ceremonial furniture, haven’t been related to an archeological character, even thought, it use studies of that kind to established historical period and characterization on the first place. Its value, talking about mythological and ideological message, is closer to anthropology and art if we see it through an interdisciplinary approach.
