Abstract

CARDENAS ZEA, Miriam Patricia et al. Virtual education in times of covid-19: an experience in the master of education. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.3, pp. 243-251.  Epub June 02, 2021. ISSN 2218-3620.

Given the physical distancing that is imposed at the present time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many higher education centers have been forced to move from face-to-face to virtual mode. Such a change has happened with the Master of Education from the State Technical University of Quevedo in Ecuador. The objective of the present study was to analyze the level of satisfaction of the students. To do this, a survey was applied to a sample of 46 teachers. The research was developed under a quantitative, exploratory-descriptive approach. The main results highlight that all students have electronic devices with an Internet connection and the majority indicate that they have the skills to use these technologies. For 86.95%, the virtual learning environment platform favors interactivity and communication for the construction of knowledge and learning. The opinion of 76.09% of those surveyed about the support received from teachers is favorable. It is concluded that the transition from the Master of Education to the virtual modality is effective, since it has allowed the integration of pedagogical practices with digital resources.
