Abstract

The visit pass constitutes the most important modality of educational organizational form of a labor type framed in education at work. In this article, an update is carried out on the teaching assistance visit pass by reviewing the most important theoretical references, in order to determine their regularities and identify their theoretical limitations. Among the regularities, the following stand out: 1) the capital importance of the visiting pass in the professional training of doctors is highlighted, 2) the particularity of fulfilling, as an activity, teaching and care functions is reiterated, 3) it is highlighted the relevant role of the teacher in its management and the need to increase their preparation in order to improve their quality, while recognizing the complexity of the visitation pass and, derived from it, the existence of difficulties for its systematization by some teachers, and 4) the close relationship between the visit pass and the clinical method is recognized, which is considered to be the driving force behind it. Additionally, the identified theoretical limitations on the subject have highlighted the need to improve the guiding function of said theoretical body.
