Abstract

JIMENEZ DENIS, Osmel  and  GONZALEZ MIRABAL, Diane. The education for the perception of risks of disasters in the basic high school in Cuba. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.3, pp. 401-408.  Epub June 02, 2021. ISSN 2218-3620.

The complexity that local, regional and global environmental problems reach in the first decades of the 21st century demands their priority attention in the pedagogical process of educational institutions at all educational levels, since the survival of the human species is at stake. Different studies carried out in other countries and in Cuba show the need to promote this work in basic secondary school, as part of environmental education for sustainable development, in particular, education for the perception of disaster risks. The objective of this review article is to analyze the potentialities of the pedagogical process of basic secondary school to incorporate education for the perception of disaster risks in the education processes of adolescents, taking into account the methodological orientations and guidelines offered the Third Improvement of the Cuban Educational System.

Keywords : Pedagogical process; junior high school; adolescent; education; environmental education; risk, perception.
