Abstract

SANDOVAL PILLAJO, Ana Lucía; CHECA CABRERA, Marco Antonio; LEON YACELGA, Andrés Roberto  and  NAVARRETE, Diego Daniel Farinango. Intelligent routing for users with disabilities, state of the art. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.3, pp. 491-496.  Epub June 02, 2021. ISSN 2218-3620.

Nowadays, we are living a real digital, technological and application revolution in different areas, one of them being assistive technology, where many aspects of human needs are becoming visible such as: communication, personal mobility, sensory functions, activities of daily living, among others. These assistances to human activities include: localization, mapping, detection, object tracking, recognition, etc. In this paper we present a systematic literature review on intelligent routing for people with disabilities by searching, analyzing and synthesizing 18 scientific articles from the last five years from two relevant bibliographic databases (Scopus, Springer). The selected publications respond to three research questions posed in this study. From the results obtained, the tasks served to this vulnerable group were identified, and preference-based algorithmic techniques were identified; the latter finding being a potential for further research.

Keywords : Routing; assistive technologies; disability; mobility; localization.
