Abstract

FONSECA HERNANDEZ, Mercedes  and  CORONA MARTINEZ, Luis Alberto. Quality of the assistance teacher visit pass in a pediatric institution: diagnosis, causes and significance of a problem. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.4, pp.277-282.  Epub Aug 02, 2021. ISSN 2218-3620.

The assistance teaching visit pass constitutes the fundamental educational organizational form of education at work in the Medicine career. The objective of this work has been to evaluate the quality in the execution of the visitation pass by the teachers with less teaching experience at the “Paquito González Cueto” Pediatric Hospital in Cienfuegos; For this, several diagnostic actions were carried out: review of control reports, study of the minutes of meetings of the Teaching Department, interviews and casual observations to professors, as well as an exploratory study by means of surveys of 22 professors with the teaching category of instructor and assistant. The study carried out has revealed a problem of a didactic nature: the existence of deficiencies in the execution of the visit pass activity, specifically of the methodological moment corresponding to the "development" of the activity, by a group of specialists and teachers, mainly of those with less time of teaching practice. The authors consider that any strategy aimed at teacher improvement in order to improve performance in the execution of the visitation pass, must go through the prior facilitation to said teachers of an adequate mental representation of said activity.
