Abstract

Research in medical education is called to boost the production and acquisition of new knowledge and technologies to improve quality of human capital training and health care. Following these purposes, management processes and methodological advice are subject to increasing demands on response capacity, learning curve, efficiency, effectiveness and proactivity, to mention some of relevance. It is carried out a quasi- experimental study in the area of ​​science and technological innovation of Matanzas University of Medical Sciences; there were made improvements in the design of scientific production management process based on BPM and knowledge approaches. Process modeling and Knowledge management tools generated improvements and potential innovations, resulting in the development of a work procedure, and computerization and automation based routines. These management tools have leaded to continuous improvement, search for quality, systematization of knowledge and generation of innovative practices in science and technological innovation processes.
