Abstract

The purpose of the study was to unveil the knowledge management and institutional communication of university teachers in times of pandemic. The study was framed within the qualitative approach using the interpretative phenomenological method. The technique used was the semi-structured interview via online to teachers of the Educational Sciences area of the Universidad Nacional Experimental de los Llanos Centrales Rómulo Gallegos. Venezuela. The procedure was the organization and transcription of the information, emerging categories that were validated through the triangulation process reflecting the phenomenological reduction where it was found the existence of difficulties that prevent the process of knowledge management and institutional communication to be properly implemented, hence the need to enhance the training of human resources, acquisition of technological equipment that enables the reconstruction of the new direction, management of technological means to systematize knowledge that enables the improvement of administrative, academic and research processes. It is concluded that economic and administrative obstacles were found, which require a new organizational culture, continuous training mediated by technologies, systematization, appropriate institutional communication, to manage knowledge in these times of crisis.
