Abstract

ESTRELLA GOMEZ, Federico Miguel; MALDONADO MANZANO, Rosa Leonor  and  MOLINA MANZO, Alexandra Dolores. Strategies in the fight against contract killings in Ecuador. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.5, pp.552-563.  Epub Oct 30, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

Citizen security is defined as a complex, multidimensional and multicausal social phenomenon, involving a set of public and private actors, organized civil society and citizens. Hence, to achieve this state, the design of an integral and systemic public policy with a short-, medium- and long-term perspective is required. Among the phenomena that threaten citizen security is the contract killings present in society, defined from the analysis of the causes and factors provided in research and university studies on the influence on the emergence of the contract killings in society. This study focuses on analyzing the possible alternatives aimed at mitigating the impact and addressing the increase in homicides and violence generated. For the analysis of each alternative, in terms of scope and objective, the modeling of the AHP Saaty and Vikor methods should be used.

Keywords : Contract killer; Society; AHP of Saaty and Vikor.
