Abstract

This article presents the experience developed in the Bachelor of Education, Speech Therapy career whose purpose was to contribute to the attention to the diversity of students through cooperative teamwork from the subjects of the Psychology discipline. To develop the experience, the qualitative approach was predominantly used, guided by a participatory action research method based on the unity between practice and the research process. The methods and techniques used were: document analysis; participant observation; in-depth interviews and discussion groups with teachers. The methodological triangulation made it possible to contrast the different methods and data sources with the corresponding collection of information at each moment. For the determination of needs in students and teachers, the categories and subcategories were elaborated, taking into account the results, methodological procedures were elaborated for the work in cooperative teams in the classes of the Psychology discipline. The implementation was carried out in the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Education, Speech Therapy career. The results made it possible to verify in the students attitudes of acceptance and respect for diversity, as well as superior results in their learning and teaching performance.
