Management control facilitates changes in organizations by providing the structure and instruments to effectively plan, monitor and adjust processes. The objective of this research is to present the use of the SWOT matrix and the CAME analysis, as management control tools and in contribution to change management. The research has a quantitative approach, with a correlational and transversal type. Theoretical research methods are applied in the review of the tools used and empirical methods based on context analysis, brainstorming and consensus search techniques. The research was structured in three phases: analysis of the internal and external environment; the preparation of the SWOT matrix and the CAME analysis. The application of both tools in a wine marketing company is shown and it is proven how management control and the SWOT matrix are a binomial to guide the performance of the organization in the formulation, deployment and control of strategies and integrated into the CAME analysis contributes to the development of a strategy that capitalizes on strengths, mitigates weaknesses, seizes opportunities and proactively addresses threats.
