The review of written works of a group of students from the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Culture showed little relationship between the justification of the ideas and the theoretical bases offered by the recommended literature, and little organization of the ideas in the development of the written text. The objective of the article is to describe the main results of the use of written argumentative text to contribute to the development of argumentation and the use of said skill as an instrument for the appropriation of knowledge of the subject Pedagogy of physical activity. The analysis of documents confirmed the progress of the students during the course of the subject's topics. The study confirms that the preparation of the written argumentative text improves the students' results in the appropriation of subject knowledge; It favors the production of arguments and the relationship of the justification of ideas with the theoretical bases offered by literature.
