Abstract

SANTILLAN-LIMA, Guido Patricio et al. ICT mediated organic chemistry education. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2024, vol.16, n.3, pp. 150-156.  Epub June 30, 2024. ISSN 2218-3620.

Currently in educational systems one of the biggest challenges is to integrate new technologies to teaching-learning processes taking into account that their use in different aspects of everyday life have changed the way young people think, learn and interact with others and has allowed them to develop thinking skills and new ways of learning. The development addresses everything related to the teaching of organic chemistry mediated by ICT. In addition, it deals with ICT in education, the role of ICT in the teaching of chemistry and its different applications. Concluding with the future lines of research with respect to the subject addressed in the article. The teaching and learning of organic chemistry, when mediated by ICTs, give quality to the process, optimizing the dynamics of the class and contributing to its better understanding. This is partly due to the fact that Chemistry is a discipline whose models and theoretical foundations require a lot of imagination so that the student can understand the abstract concepts, and this is how technology can contribute, for example, with the presentation of three-dimensional figures.
