Abstract
IBARRA-HERNANDEZ, Eusebio V.; GOYA-VALDIVIA, Félix A.; GUERRA- VALDES, Belkis F. and DUPIN-FONSECA, Marlene. Characterization and uses of the "Qualitative Techniques" for hazard identification and assessment of chemical process industries. cen. az. [online]. 2015, vol.42, n.1, pp.22-33. ISSN 0253-5777.
This paper determines and studies, analyzes and elaborates and classifies and categorizes the main qualitative techniques for hazards identification and assessment in chemical industrial processes. It specifies that these techniques base their effectiveness both, on analytical estimation processes and on the safety managers-engineers ability. It enumerates also those that present a bigger use frequency as well as the dangers that identify and the results that they give.Their use is linked, in function of the complexity level of the analysis technique, with the different stages of the life of industrial projects / processes.
Keywords : Qualitative hazard analysis techniques; stages of the life of chemical industrial processes; hazard identification and assessment; assessment of industrial hazards.
