Abstract

TACLE HUMANANTE, Paul Marcelo; MOYA RODRIGUEZ, Jorge Laureano  and  MARTY DELGADO, José Roberto. MODIFICATIONS TO MATRIX OF CONTRADICTIONS FOR DESIGNING PLASTIC SPUR GEARS. cen. az. [online]. 2019, vol.46, n.1, pp. 86-96. ISSN 2223-4861.

The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) is a method widely used today to solve engineering tasks and to develop new products. Two of the key foundations to apply TRIZ are the matrix of contradictions and the engineering principles. They have remained almost unchanged since their origin, and designers have difficulty using them successfully in a wide range of engineering problem configurations. The objective of this paper is to present the results of contradiction matrix and the engineering principles analysis, based on current scientific and technological development, as well as the modifications required in the field of mechanical engineering in general, applied to the design of plastic spur gear transmissions.

Keywords : Spur gears; matrix of contradictions; engineering principles; TRIZ.
