In today's competitive business world, success increasingly depends on effective human management at the level of individual work positions, especially directives, as these are responsible for leading organizations aimed at achieving the proposed goals. Particularly important in this context is the competency management development from the perspective of strategic alignment, prospective and situational approach. A considerations set with theoretical and methodological foundations for the identification of managerial competencies are presented, starting from recognizing this phase as basic in managing them process of. The proposed methodological framework for the identification of managerial competences includes a contextual analysis as a starting point in this type of study, including external and internal elements, which contributes to guaranteeing their relevance, the introduction of prospective tools to organizational competencies study and presuppose strategic alignment of them. It also establishes a set of criteria and premises whose observation in this type of works will raise results quality.
