Abstract
ODALES-BERNAL, Leyanet and DUHARTE-RODRIGUEZ, Wendy Lucía. Verification of the determination of orthophosphates in the digestate of swine residuals in Sancti Spíritus province. Rev Cub Quim [online]. 2019, vol.31, n.3, pp. 498-510. ISSN 2224-5421.
The residual resulting from anaerobic digestion (digestate), is considered a valuable organic fertilizer because it is rich in essential nutrients for the growth and development of plants. The present work was carried out in the Laboratory of biogas and environmental engineering of the University of Sancti Spíritus with the objective of verifying the performance of the spectrophotometric method of determination of orthophosphates in the solid and liquid fractions of the digestate generated from the Chinese-type biodigestor and residual pigs from the Sancti Spíritus province, Cuba. For the evaluation of the method, the following parameters were determined: precision in terms of repeatability and intermediate reproducibility and accuracy. It was demonstrated that the method is accurate and truthful in the entire range of concentrations of the analytical technique (2 to 18 ppm). The solid and liquid fractions contain phosphorus in the form of orthophosphate ions, so it can be used as a fertilizer.
