Abstract

LAFARGUE-PEREZ, Francisco et al. Physico-chemical Characterization of Vegetable oil of Jatropha Curcas L. RTQ [online]. 2012, vol.32, n.2, pp. 191-196. ISSN 2224-6185.

In this paper the chemical refining of Jatropha Curcas L vegetable oil before the tranesterification process to obtain biodiesel and base oil to the formulation of the lubricants oil was developed. The objective is to determinate physic-chemistry properties of Jatropha curcas L. vegetable oil (degumming and neutralized). The characterization analysis, include tests of parameters using the ASTM and AOCS standard specifications. In fact the characterization, the oil could certainly be used as renewable energy (biodiesel) or/and lubricant.

Keywords : Jatropha curcas L; chemical refined; neutralized; biodiesel; lubricant.
