The present work constitutes a proposal for an automation system for the process control of the carbonated sludge utilization circuit in the Moa Nickel S.A. Mixed Company, located in the municipality of Moa, Holguín province, belonging to the Nickel Business Group (CUBANIQUEL).The nickel industry plays an important role within the national economy, which is why the efficiency of the operation of the main parameters of the different equipment and facilities that comprise it has a considerable impact on the production of nickel and cobalt. This work is carried out with the objective of designing an automation system for the rejection utilization circuit that allows it to be operated efficiently; In it, the necessary field instrumentation for the main regulation loops involved in the process is proposed and the control architecture design proposal is made based on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and using the Siemens TIA Selection Tool. A complete list of necessary materials and accessories is additionally generated.
