Pattern recognition techniques find a broad field of application in Geoscience. The objective of the present investigation was to identify the lithologies present in the aquifers of the southern basin of the province of Artemisa and Mayabeque and in the basin M-IV-2 of the province of Matanzas applying the technique of Cluster Analysis Euclidian with geophysical parameters very limited support of the basic descriptions. Principal Component Analysis and Factor Analysis were also applied to study the original attribute system correlation structure. The results obtained demonstrate the fulfillment of the proposed objective and the effectiveness of the applied methodology, by defining three basic lithological groups differentiated by their karst development and arcillosity.
