Abstract

TRISTA PEREZ, Boris. Human Behavior Orientation in Higher Education Institutions. Rev retos [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.2, pp.229-245.  Epub Sep 13, 2019. ISSN 2306-9155.

Various paradigms and forms used to orient human behavior in organizations, and their specifications in higher education institutions were systematized in this study. It relied on developing different elements of social, economic, cultural, and epistemological contexts. Emphasis is made on the fact that these developments cannot be seen as excluding visions of previous theories and approaches, but as an update, broadening, and overlapping which takes from the past, and re-introduces a new adjusted dimension to reality. It was concluded that orientation of human behavior today assumes an integrated and contingency approach. The Cuban institutions of higher education include elements of their distinct forms, and in many cases, clearly differentiated forms for different activities within a contingency approach.

Keywords : organizations; human behavior; higher education.
