The article analyzes the current conditions and challenges for the writing of social sciences in Cuba. Based on the interviews with 20 Cuban social scientists and the development of a postgraduate course on the subject, explains the most common vices and errors in Cuban social science texts and delves into the external and internal challenges that mark the individual and collective experience of the social scientists of the Island.
