Abstract

This article addresses the need to create links in the community and in turn reinforce them in search of the social and economic development of the country. At this point, cooperativism appears as one of the best candidates in these times. It is necessary to know the framework that exists between development and community, and at the same time the direct link with cooperativism. Linking the theory with the Cuban contextual practice, allows to demonstrate the options that the cooperatives offer in search of an internal and community development. It is reflected through a concrete example and a theoretical study, the role that cooperativism is having in the current Cuban society.
