Abstract

The article presents a study of environmental perceptions of students of pedagogical careers at the University of Matanzas, about the environment and sustainable development. The assumed theoretical foundations take into account the relationships of man in his environment; they particularize in the youth stage and the conformation of a scientific conception of the world, as well as in the necessity of the environmental formation of the Cuban university professionals, committed with the transformations towards a prosperous and sustainable society. The results obtained have allowed establishing new views towards environmental training as a process and result in the University.
