This article exposes the experience of the Escaramujo Project and the work they have done for almost 10 years with diverse groups of Cuban adolescents, which has allowed project members to define certain elements about participatory diagnosis processes, especially those that they are developed in function of a future process of educommunication that finds in the dialogue and the participation transversal axes of action. This text dialogues with the importance of diagnosis in educommunicative practice; proposes objectives and ways to achieve it and shares some results obtained in project experiences.
