The result that is communicated is part of a larger investigation that aims to provide a sociological communication model for the social discussion about public problems in local contexts, which contributes to the socio-cultural community development. From the perspective that we are working on, the local media are conceived as the main platforms of social dialogue. Cuban localities are assumed as contextual framework. The systematization of the experience of El Caleidoscopio, a participatory section of the radio station Radio Baraguá (Palma Soriano, Santiago de Cuba) is presented, where the principles and foundations of this model have been implemented. The reflexivity aroused from the experience of El Caleidoscopio validated the assumed theoretical postulates and the proposed methodology for the implementation of the model, also glimpsed other aspects of relevance for the Cuban and international context, which are based on the contrasting of the theoretical postulates with the practical experience.
