Abstract

REGUEIRO GOMEZ, Angel; BUSOCH MORLAN, Carmen Brígida  and  REGUEIRO BUSOCH, Carmenchu. Methodological experience: the management of virtual resources in Biomedical Engineering (CUJAE). RP [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.2, pp. 130-144.  Epub Oct 20, 2023. ISSN 2308-3042.

The management of virtual resources (LMS: Learning Management System and repositories in CLOUDS) is playing an important role in the development of a hybrid model of education, where they combine face to face, blended and distance activities. The Biomedical Engineering at Cujae follows a strategy based on the efficient use of these resources, but still during its implementation it is necessary to work hard in the training of the human resources that take part in the formative process. The main objective of this article is the characterization of the management strategy of virtual available resources (LMS and repositories in Clouds) to support the improvement of the educational process, including the problem- based teaching. The main deficiencies in the face to face teaching were identified during a methodological workshop carried out in the Department of Bioengineering (CEBIO). The management strategy of the virtual resources was also analyzed. The quality of the prepared courses was characterized in the CEBIOMOODLE LMS, to achieve a bigger motivation in the educational and methodological work concerning the didactics of these courses, which allows to continue strengthening the preparation of the staff, consolidating its national leadership as well as the international prestige reached by Biomedical engineering. .
