Abstract

CABRERA GONZALEZ, Ada Caridad et al. Developing communicative skills in Spanish language teaching. RP [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.3, pp. 80-91.  Epub Mar 08, 2024. ISSN 2308-3042.

The teaching-learning process of the Spanish discipline requires the development of communicative skills regarding the context in which non- Spanish speaking students of technical sciences are involved. This process is aimed at the acquisition of Spanish as a foreign language, with the purpose of developing the communicative competence of these students at a proficiency level that will allow them to adequately interact in different communicative situations related to their profession. For this reason, it is necessary to adapt the functional use of the language to the real communicative context. The analysis of a text implies mastering textual typologies, functional communicative styles and the communicative skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. This article substantiates the importance of the role of the development of the communicative skills in Spanish language for the training of technical science students in their professional context. As a result , a system of activities was proposed to contribute to their successful professional performance.
