Abstract

PAVONI OLIVER, Sonnia; CRIADO CRUZ, Dilaila  and  VEGA GOMEZ, Leonardo César. Digital Electronics content system update for training adaptable engineers to technological changes. RP [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.3, pp. 136-151.  Epub Aug 03, 2024. ISSN 2308-3042.

At the José Antonio Echeverría Technological University of Havana, Digital Electronics professors face the challenge of keeping it updated in a technological scenario that constantly evolves. The objective of this article is to present a methodological update of the content system of the Digital Electronics 1 and Digital Electronics 2 subjects, aimed at meeting the new challenges in teaching and the new demands of society, in line with the E curriculum. Four skills were emphasized in the update: the design and analysis of digital circuits; the description of digital circuits through standard documentation established by international standards; the use of computational tools (CAD) in the analysis, synthesis and verification of digital circuits; the promotion of cooperative learning and self-learning. Skills were enhanced through concrete actions. The changes in the Digital Electronics content system have had a favorable impact on several technical and training aspects that allow students to be prepared for insertion into diverse and changing technological scenarios in the field of electronics.
