Abstract

RAMOS GUARDARRAMA, Josnier  and  PEREZ MARTINEZ, Maykop. Mobile learning platform to improve the teaching-learning process in electrical engineering students. RP [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.3, pp. 165-180.  Epub Aug 03, 2024. ISSN 2308-3042.

In the present work, a learning management system installed in a portable embedded system with wireless connectivity from the student’s personal mobile devices is used. The methodology is applied through a remote platform fully controlled by the teacher, with digital teaching aids, to achieve a blended teaching-learning process assisted in the classroom mediated by virtual environments, thus reducing digital gaps, coverage problems, students are motivated from the analysis of real case studies of the profession in the flipped classroom learning modality, guaranteeing that the student forms an active part of their own teaching-learning process. As a result, it should be noted that student’s connectivity problems are reduced, it allows the teacher to use digital tools such as SCORM packages and questionnaires to evaluate the process, and it also enhances the teacher's work as a manager and organizer of teaching activities, giving greater prominence the student through their active, individual and collaborative participation through the creation of work groups. It is also recognized that time in the classroom is used, the academic performance of students is increased through assisted monitoring of the teaching-learning process, which allows students to develop critical thinking and group work skills. The biggest challenge is the need for mobile personal devices such as smartphones, tablets or laptops; as well as the production of digital materials.
