Abstract

GARCES CORRA, Raúl  and  FRANCO SENEN, Armando. How is the Cuban press ruled?: An approach to media management, from the perspective of its journalists and directors. ARCIC [online]. 2017, vol.6, n.12, pp. 81-110. ISSN 2411-9970.

This article analyzes the contrast between determined management practices of the Cuban press and the paradigm of ¨network society¨ demands to new media environments. A context that requires of self-regulation as a way to reveal the professional skills of journalists, that is also in need of directives capable of leading substantial process of changes. The authors concluded that, alongside the excessive external regulation already in the media, could also be affecting negatively on its evolution the lack of a strategic projection to its institutional development
