The emergence of regulatory frames around communication is today the subject of debate among researchers and professionals from the field both inside and outside our continent. This panel proposes a review of these experiences in the Ibero-American context in order to understand their true scope in each of the nations analyzed, as well as those demands that still remain unanswered. The discussion sheds light on possible projections that should be considered if these policies are expected to stimulate genuinely democratizing information processes
