Abstract

TOLENTINO HERRERA, Williams Enrique  and  VELIZ GUTIERREZ, Jennifer. A profession to a debate: virtues and fissures of Cuban journalism in the context of the Economic Model’s Actualization. ARCIC [online]. 2018, vol.7, n.15, pp. 150-155. ISSN 2411-9970.

Signed by the relevance of the national context and the current debate about the necessity of a new programmatic and juridical frame for the Cuban Communication, the study of journalist’s professional culture in this country is a solid academic step towards an actualization process of the press and its discourses. This is one of the principal virtues of the book reviewed here, which has established and objective analysis through a conscious theoretical and historical review, and a metodological conception based on the triangulation of empirical methods for collecting information with an exhaustive exam of different research made in the Communication School of University of Havana, during the last 25 years
