The articles studies the narrative structure and its relation with the assimilation and recollection of news contents in the radio, taking into account the Model of Limited Capacity of coding, storage and recovering of information. Among the research methods, are the contents analyze and the focal groups, implemented through de case study in the radio news program First Hand, of the CMKO radio station. The results shows the impact of the narrative structures -used according the production routines and professional cultures that are shared- in the cognitive processing and in the comprehension by the audiences regarding the radiophonic speech.
