The first messages of a president of the Cuban socialist state on the Twitter platform, and the consequent confrontation of symbolic elements, the reticular scenario with its advantages and disadvantages, the irruption into a space of harsh ideological, communicative, and political confrontation, marked a singularity in political communication in the digital arena from Cuba. This study uses content analysis resources to examine the characteristics of those first months of interaction with the platform's users and the premise of relevance that the use of words, tags, and three taxonomic classifications of messages have, to horizontal relationships, the quality of the dialogic space, and political deliberation, so useful in the collective management of political decision-making, even under the conditions of aggressiveness in the network.
