Abstract

Introduction:
climacteric is a period of transition between the reproductive and non-reproductive stage of women that causes the appearance of a range of symptoms due to hormonal changes that interfere with their quality of life and interpersonal relationships.
Objective:
to evaluate the effects of integrative therapy with flower therapy and auriculotherapy on the climacteric.
Methods:
a prospective longitudinal study was carried out with a sample of 30 women from the universe of women with symptoms associated with climacteric at the “Chiqui Gómez Lubián” Polyclinic between January 2017 and December 2018. A floral elixir with a typological flower was prescribed and transpersonal formula and auriculotherapy and psychological evaluation were applied.
Results:
the most affected age group was the one of 39 to 49 years and the most frequent symptoms were hot flushes, palpitations, depression and myalgia.
Conclusions:
a significant improvement was obtained in neurovegetative, psychological and somatic symptoms in women with integrative therapy; the therapy was a therapeutic alternative for climacteric symptoms.
