Abstract

GONZALEZ ESCUDERO, Mabel; MORALES PINEIRO, Sergio  and  SOSA ESTEBANEZ, Hanuarys Lázaro. Diffuse lymphoma of primary cutaneous large B-cell. Case report. Acta méd centro [online]. 2022, vol.16, n.2, pp. 366-373.  Epub June 30, 2022. ISSN 2709-7927.

Introduction:

primary cutaneous B-cell lymphoma is a rare neoplastic proliferation of immunophenotype B lymphocytes; its pathogenic mechanisms are unknown.

Patient information:

a 77-year-old male patient is presented, who approximately three months ago started with erythematous-violaceous, infiltrated, multifocal plaques, located on the posterior trunk, in addition to a violaceous tumor, with neoformation vessels on its surface, which was accompanied by weight loss. He was evaluated multidisciplinary and after biopsy of the lesion and staging studies it was concluded asDiffuse lymphoma of primary cutaneous large B-cell. Polychemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone and monoclonal antibody: rituximab was indicated as treatment, with favorable evolution.

Conclusions:

this disease, even being unfrequent, with a good prognosis and relatively easy therapeutic management, should be suspected and diagnosed in time; the connotations that its diagnosis and treatment imply for the patient should not be forgotten.

Keywords : B-cell lymphoma; diffuse large B-cell lymphoma; rituximab.
