In the present work an analysis of the category activity is carried out, a category whose great importance makes it to be considered as one of the key categories within psychological science. This category which has been studied with different approaches (psycologic, philosofic and sociologic), is viewed in this work from a practical perspective, being linked directly to health condition and primary care. In our approach we relate the activity, its essential components, and its forms of manifestation to the life style of man, which is very closely related to health condition, as well as to the role played by the community, using this aspect as directing element for our work in disease prevention and health promotion.
