This paper is about historical and typological evolution of the hotels and lodging buildings in the Malecón tradicional of Havana. Examples of this architectonical function are reviewed in this remarkable area because their urban and landscape values. The analysis of these works permits to expose the development of this architectonical topic on the mentioned section of the urban seafront simultaneously to the behavior of this issue in the rest of the city and the capacity of adaptation to functional and technological changes relate to each historical period.
