Abstract

CAMARA, Charles Jean  and  MORCATE LABRADA, Flora de los Ángeles. Methodology for the identification, classification and assessment of Territorial Tourist Resources of the City Center of Fort-de-France. Arquitectura y Urbanismo [online]. 2014, vol.35, n.1, pp. 48-67. ISSN 1815-5898.

Tourist development potential of the center of the city of Fort-de-France is directly related to the site's real and potential territorial resources, as well as its growth. The process depends on the capacity to regulate and to orient the elaboration of the inventory of these tourist resources as well as to evaluate its potential. Against this background, the analysis of the tourist resources of this center allows us to systematically gain knowledge of heritage tourism according to its level of importance and methods used for tourism planning and development of that center. In this paper, we present a methodology that involves concepts, fundamentals, instruments and tools for the identification, classification and evaluation of territorial resources for Fort-de-France in order to achieve conceptual and methodological uniformity in the criteria used for assessing the current and future tourism potential.

Keywords : tourism resources; real resources and potential resources; assessment methodology; tourism resources; city center of Fort - de-France; Martinique.
