Abstract

Essential aspects to be addressed in a methodological orientation of a class are presented. It refers to the fulfillment of the didactic principles, and their correspondence to the curriculum demands and the context where it is executed, with emphasis on the distinctive aspects of the in the Dentistry Major teaching process. It is explained through a theoretical class of the subject Physiology Stomatology and Oral Semiology of Dentistry Majoring at the pilot Dentistry Faculty of the Guayaquil University. For this purpose, a documentary analysis of the major professional profile, its program and discipline, regulations on methodological work, and the study of up-to-date information on the subject are carried out. Examples are given of how to elaborate this document and ways for preparing methodological orientations are offered with pedagogical scientific basis in the educational field. It is concluded that methodological orientation focus the teacher on class goal achievement and foresees the direction of the student's activity towards that end, it is a document that facilitates process uniformity.
